God loves us so much

That He sent His only Son
to bear this passion for us
and Jesus loves each one of  us so much that
that He would go this again to save us

What wondrous love. I am struck with awe. May you have a truly blessed Lent.

I just went to a talk on the Shroud of Turin and these look so much like the images from the Shroud. Most of our crucifixes are the softened version and don't give the real picture of how much Christ suffered. Studying the Shroud is a great Lenten meditation. Here is the website operated by Barrie Schwortz one of the member of the 1978 team of scientists that did most of the research on the Shroud.

If your readers ever have a chance to hear Barrie Schwortz speak on the Shroud I highly recommend they take advantage of it. Although he is not a scientist, (He was there as a photographer.) he has a wealth of knowledge on the Shroud and is one of the last living members of the team.
